Her consideration in pre-heating the house and spa before we arrived just before dark made it extra special. She went above and beyond with all the finer touches. We could truly feel the love Mary and her husband have put into their guest house. Our recommendation is 100%: go book your weekend or week! If you want a relaxing environment and a welcoming home, this is the spot!”

“We have a very comfortable stay. The house was warm in winter with plenty of heaters and blankets. The spa pool was a hit in a very private location. There were lots of welcoming touches that were really appreciated - hooded towels for the kids, some snacks on arrival, fresh eggs to name a few. Thanks for being great hosts!”

“Fantastic location, secluded and very beautiful situated on the banks of the Akatarawa river, but only a short distance outside Upper Hutt and within easy reach of Wellington. Surrounded by gardens and orchard, with spa pool on the terrace outside and well-appointed kitchen. The host Mary was incredibly welcoming and even brought us fresh baked cake and coffee, which more than made up for the rough patch of weather we encountered on our weekend there. Absolutely recommend this exceptional place, and would definitely go back there again.”
