Surrounded by gardens and orchard, with spa pool on the terrace outside and well-appointed kitchen. What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you need different times, send us a message and we will do our best to help.
How many guests can stay?
The villa sleeps up to 4 guests across two bedrooms: a master with a queen bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. There is one bathroom.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are very welcome. We have a range of toys at the villa, and a cot and high chair for infants are available on request.
Is the spa pool private?
Yes. The outdoor spa pool is for our guests only, and you can use it at any time during your stay.
Does the TV have Chromecast?
Yes. The 50-inch 4K HD smart TV has Chromecast built in, so you can cast from your own devices. There is also a DVD player and a large collection of DVDs in the TV cabinet.
What kitchen facilities are there?
The kitchen is fully equipped: an oven with a stovetop, a range of pots and pans, and the relevant cooking and baking tools. There is also an air fryer, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher, a slow cooker, and a coffee and tea station with a French press.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, bookings are for a minimum of two nights.
Are pets or smoking allowed?
No. Pets are not allowed on the property and smoking is prohibited inside.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel 7 or more days before check-in for a full refund. Cancellations less than 7 days before check-in receive a 50% refund. Once your stay has begun, bookings are non-refundable.
Luxury Accommodation in Upper Hutt, Wellington
Eirene Retreat is a self-contained luxury villa in the Akatarawa Valley, about ten minutes from Upper Hutt city centre and 45 minutes from Wellington. It's an easy drive for a weekend away, but properly quiet once you're here.
The outdoor spa pool is the highlight for most guests, a hot tub you can soak in after dark. There's summer fruit to pick in the orchard and a private path down to the river. If you'd rather not stay in a Wellington hotel, it's a boutique option well suited to a romantic getaway or a slow weekend.
There's plenty nearby too. Staglands Wildlife Reserve is fifteen minutes up the valley, and Kaitoke Regional Park, the Remutaka Cycle Trail and Brewtown are all an easy drive away.
